PAWELKRZYWICKI.COM // PERSONAL SYSTEM
Senior DevOps engineer, cloud architect and developer with more than two decades in technology. I design infrastructure, automate delivery, prototype products and turn complicated ideas into working systems.
ABOUT
I am a Polish technology professional who has spent more than two decades in the United Kingdom, working across DevOps, cloud architecture, development, infrastructure automation and platform engineering.
My approach is practical: understand the system, simplify it, automate what repeats, test it in a real environment and ship something useful. I enjoy architecture, engineering and delivery far more than corporate theatre.
Away from formal work, I run an extensive self-hosted lab, experiment with AI, build software products, design infrastructure, operate a small 3D-printing setup and work on practical engineering projects around the home and workshop.
EXPERTISE
My work sits where infrastructure, software, security and product thinking meet.
Designing secure, private and observable environments on AWS, including networking, compute, Kubernetes, storage, databases and resilient service boundaries.
Building repeatable infrastructure and deployment workflows that reduce manual work and make releases predictable.
Connecting architecture to day-two reality: monitoring, networking, access, upgrades, failure modes, capacity and maintainability.
Exploring practical uses of language models, intelligent workflows and automation while developing deeper AI engineering capability.
Running real services, clusters, storage, monitoring and network infrastructure in a hands-on laboratory built for learning and experimentation.
Bringing the same systems mindset to 3D printing, solar power, workshops, garden buildings, product ideas and physical problem-solving.
SELECTED PROJECTS
A mixture of production engineering, personal platforms and product concepts. Some are complete, some are active, and some are deliberately experimental.
Secure AWS environments with private networking, Kubernetes or container platforms, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and controlled connectivity.
A deployable task and evidence platform using FastAPI, Docker, SQLite and PDF output to make technical work easier to track and prove.
A wellbeing application concept that uses smartwatch signals and subtle interventions to help young people recognise and manage stress.
A family-focused learning system for the Polish curriculum, with parent and student views, interactive material and bilingual support.
A modular platform that brings security tools, findings and evidence into one consistent workflow instead of a collection of disconnected commands.
A broader engineering and content project covering workshops, DIY, solar, automation, self-hosting and the satisfaction of building useful things yourself.
A small multi-printer setup used for practical product development, replacement parts, fixtures, stands, brackets and on-demand manufacturing ideas.
A collection of tools for content routing, social publishing, data workflows and repeatable online business processes.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The habits and values behind the technical work.
Documentation matters, but a working system reveals assumptions, edge cases and trade-offs that diagrams alone cannot show.
If a task is predictable and repeated, it should become code, a pipeline, a template or a dependable process.
I prefer real deployments, real traffic, real hardware and observable behaviour over solutions that exist only in presentations.
I value honest technical discussion, clear ownership and useful criticism. Problems improve faster when nobody hides them behind jargon.
My regular pattern is to choose a difficult subject, build around it, document what works and carry the lesson into the next system.
Family, faith, responsibility and craftsmanship matter. Technology is most valuable when it improves real life rather than becoming an end in itself.
BEYOND THE TERMINAL
The same curiosity follows me away from the keyboard.
I built my adult career in the UK and am planning the next chapter closer to Poland, combining experience from both places.
Workshops, garden buildings, energy systems, networking, home automation and practical construction are part of how I relax and learn.
I enjoy 3D printing, product concepts, custom parts and solving small physical problems with a designed object.
A background in bodybuilding shaped my preference for consistency, measurable progress and doing difficult things repeatedly.
I develop video ideas, practical engineering content and a long-form science-fiction story alongside technical projects.
Current learning includes deeper AI engineering, product architecture and Spanish - usually through projects rather than passive study.
